My favorite part about being a Vertex Patient Educator is:
Having the privilege to engage with those affected by sickle cell disease (SCD) or beta thalassemia within the community, and be an educational resource while actively listening and learning about community needs.
My favorite thing about living in New York City is:
The unpredictability! It’s really fun being able to walk outside without a plan and finding so many cool activities to do, great places to eat, and interesting people to meet.
My favorite food is:
Sushi and Caribbean food (it’s a solid tie). As a proud Haitian, I love all West Indian cuisine!
My hobbies are:
Traveling, trying out new restaurants, and event planning for myself, friends, family, etc.
If I could have a superpower, it would be:
The ability to time travel. I’d go back in time and spend more time with loved ones who are no longer here with me.
My favorite part about being a Vertex Patient Educator is:
Providing comprehensive education that empowers and equips individuals and families living with sickle cell disease (SCD) and beta thalassemia as they consider making life-changing decisions regarding their health status.
My favorite thing about living in Maryland is:
Its proximity to so many states along the East Coast. Maryland is right in the middle of both northern and southern US culture! I also love living very close to DC because of the amazing museums and awesome restaurants.
My favorite food is:
Seafood and just about every vegetable imaginable.
My hobbies are:
Traveling nationally and internationally where I can experience new cultures and cuisines.
If I could have a superpower, it would be:
The ability to teleport. This would afford me the opportunity to instantly visit my children and grandchild without the long flights.
