My favorite part about being a Vertex Patient Educator is:
Knowing that the work we are doing allows Warriors, caregivers, and community leaders to know more about sickle cell disease, beta thalassemia, and the advances in cell and gene therapy. I am proud to share that there are companies like Vertex that truly seek to keep the patient first.
My favorite thing about living in Atlanta is:
We love the culture, the sports, and the energy of Atlanta while also feeling like we are part of our local community just north of the city.
My favorite part about being a Vertex Patient Educator is:
Being afforded the opportunity to share information about sickle cell disease (SCD) and transfusion-dependent beta thalassemia (TDT) to those with SCD or TDT or their caregivers. It is an indescribable feeling to be involved with this community through education.
My favorite thing about living in Atlanta is:
I can meet people from all walks of life and experience different cultures. A bonus is living near the world’s busiest airport, where I can get a direct flight to any of my favorite destinations.
My favorite food is:
Cajun and Italian cuisine.
My hobbies are:
Interior decorating, refurbishing furniture, traveling, and attending festivals.
If I could have a superpower, it would be:
Self-cloning because it would allow me to be anywhere at any given time. It would be so amazing to have three of me! I could work, visit with family and friends, and travel to new exciting places simultaneously.

Being able to work with patients again and helping them learn about their disease state and treatment journey through the excellence of Vertex.
My favorite thing about living in Houston is:
The people and the food! Houston is culturally diverse, and I feel like I’ve traveled the world from my own backyard. The wonderful friendships and connections I have made and the unique homemade food dishes I’ve experienced with other Houstonians are unmatched!
My favorite food is:
Tex-Mex.
My hobbies are:
Solo traveling, staying active, and exploring new fusion food spots.
If I could have a superpower, it would be:
Omnilingualism. My international travel would be limitless if I had the ability to speak and understand any and all languages.
